Who is responsible

Web analytics

Visits are measured with a self-hosted analytics tool. Analytics is cookieless: page, referrer, approximate device/browser and country, plus interactions on the page — PDF downloads, clicks on demo and outbound links, section navigation and language changes. The tool groups a visit's events by a short-lived anonymous value that changes daily. No tracking cookies are set, no identifier is stored on your device, your full IP address is not stored, and there is no cross-site tracking.

Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in understanding how the site is used. Analytics data is kept only as long as needed to understand how the site is used.

Personally shared links

If you follow a link of the form danielnystrom.se/r/… that was shared with you personally, the server records an analytics event before redirecting you: the link's label, the referring page and the network operator your connection belongs to (e.g. a home ISP, a cloud provider or a VPN). As with all analytics here it is cookieless and your IP address is not stored.

For the rest of that visit, analytics events (and any error reports) are associated with a pseudonymous value derived from the link's label, so it is possible to see how the shared CV was read. Nothing is stored on your device: reloading the page without the link's parameter makes the visit anonymous again.

Purpose and legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in knowing whether personally shared links reach the intended recipient, and in detecting fraud such as fake recruiters or job scams.

Error monitoring

If enabled, technical errors are reported to a self-hosted Sentry instance operated by DJN Consulting AB within the EU/EEA, without personal identifiers (default PII collection is turned off), to keep the site working. Error events are deleted within 90 days.

Preferences

Your language choice is stored in your browser (a first-party language cookie) solely to remember your preference. The cookie is strictly functional and is not used for tracking.

Recipients and location

Data is processed on self-hosted infrastructure operated by DJN Consulting AB — analytics and a Sentry error-monitoring instance — entirely within the EU/EEA. Fonts are served from this site's own origin, so no data is sent to third-party content networks. Data is never sold or shared with advertisers.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. To exercise any of these, email hej@danielnystrom.se.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Opting out

Browsers that send a Do Not Track signal are excluded from analytics automatically. You can also disable analytics in this browser here:
